Buses in Paris

One of the most comfortable and usual ways to get around Paris is the bus. In Paris you will find more than 60 diurnal lines and 40 nocturnal lines.

The advantages of the bus are well known: fast for short distances and on the way you can see the city. Many lines pass through the center, along the banks of the Seine and through historic districts.

The disadvantages are also not unknown: long journeys, especially at rush hour, can annoy the itinerary all day long. In short, for long distances, the metro and the RER are the options to take into account.

Schedule

Bus schedules in Paris vary greatly depending on the line. In general, buses operate from Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 20:30 hours, although the main lines run until 00:30 hours. Sundays and holidays there are many lines that do not operate.

To know the schedule of each line, it is best to look at the stops themselves. In these it is indicated when the first bus leaves, the last, its frequency and the days of service. Sometimes times also vary depending on the month.

Night buses (Noctilien)

Noctilien buses are night buses that run between 00:30 and 07:00 hours. The frequency of these buses is 10 to 15 minutes on weekends and 15 to 30 minutes on daily days. They are identified by carrying the letter N before the number.
